Interclub started its competitive season this week-end with a pre-season tournament at Humber College. This well-run tournament for 17 and 18U girls, brought together some of the best female athletes in the province. It was the perfect chance for the team to see how it stacked up against the best.
Solid play throughout the day had Interclub ranked second coming out of pool play. A semi-final match up with last year's tier 1 champions could have gone either way, with a third game needed to decide the outcome. The girls left it all on the floor and learned first hand that they can compete with the best, leaving with a third place finish and a positive outlook for the upcoming season.
Coach Steve Turner would like to thank all the athletes for a great day and an outstanding representation of Interclub, both on and off the court.
